New York, NY — June 1, 2026 — MarcumAsia CPAs LLP is pleased to announce that Ken Harris, CPA, has joined the firm as Partner and will lead MarcumAsia’s SPAC and De-SPAC services practice.
Ken brings nearly 20 years of public accounting experience, including leadership roles in SEC and capital markets practices at CBIZ, Marcum LLP, and Friedman LLP, as well as 14 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Throughout his career, he has advised both public and private companies across a broad range of industries, including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, consumer products, industrials, and entertainment.
Ken has extensive experience supporting companies through IPO and De-SPAC transactions, as well as advising clients on SEC reporting, complex accounting matters, internal controls, transaction readiness, and public company requirements. His addition further strengthens MarcumAsia’s cross-border capital markets platform and SPAC capabilities across Asia and the United States.
“Today’s SPAC market requires a different level of audit experience and transaction coordination than before,” said Drew Bernstein, Co-Chairman of MarcumAsia. “Regulatory expectations surrounding SPAC and De-SPAC transactions have increased significantly, with heightened SEC scrutiny over disclosures, financial reporting, and transaction structures, while the PCAOB continues to raise standards for audit quality and inspection readiness. Cross-border transactions add another layer of complexity involving accounting standards, source documentation, regulatory environments, and coordination across jurisdictions. In this environment, choosing a SPAC auditor is no longer an administrative decision — it is a strategic one. Ken’s leadership and experience will further strengthen MarcumAsia’s ability to support sponsors, issuers, and target companies navigating these increasingly complex transactions.”
Prior to joining MarcumAsia, Ken served clients ranging from multinational public companies to private equity-backed businesses and emerging growth companies. His expertise includes SEC reporting, PCAOB audits, transaction advisory, internal controls, IPO readiness, and De-SPAC transaction support.
As regulatory and market expectations continue to evolve, MarcumAsia remains committed to expanding its specialized SPAC and cross-border transaction capabilities to support companies accessing the U.S. capital markets.
Please join us in welcoming Ken to MarcumAsia.
