According to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), a firm’s quality control system impacts many aspects of day-to-day management and operations — from governance and leadership, ethics and independence, and resource allocation, to information communication and monitoring. Establishing, operating, and continuously improving this system requires significant effort, coordination, and commitment from leadership and professionals across the firm.
William’s promotion marks an important step in MarcumAsia’s strategic initiative to expand our Quality Control leadership in Asia. Continuing Our Investment in Quality and compliance infrastructure that our clients rely on.
Through these efforts, MarcumAsia ensures that every engagement is conducted with the highest levels of accuracy, compliance, professional integrity and efficiency.
With over 13 years of public accounting experience, including a decade specializing in PCAOB audits, William has led complex, high-risk engagements across technology, biotech, logistics, and SPAC transactions. His expertise includes U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and PCAOB regulations and he has served as EQR Assistant on numerous engagements, providing early-stage quality input on key accounting and auditing matters.
As co-regional head of MarcumAsia’s North Region of China. William has contributed to internal inspections, talent development, and the cultivation of a strong quality culture within the firm.
