Sophia Li has over 15 years of experience in public accounting firms. She is currently serving as a Quality Control Partner for MarcumAsia, driving firm-wide compliance, audit quality initiatives, and technical training programs. Sophia regularly advises the engagement teams on complex accounting and auditing matters as subject matter expert.

Before joining MarcumAsia, Sophia led high-profile audit engagements at KPMG, Friedman LLP and Marcum LLP.  Her professional experience spans a broad range of industries, specializing in complex assurance engagements, including U.S. IPOs, SPAC transactions, De-SPAC processes, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate spin-offs. She had a two-year secondment experience at KPMG’s Global Services Center in the United States, contributing to the development of global audit methodology and technical guidance. She holds the CPA qualifications in the United States, China and Australia, and possess in-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, Chinese Accounting Standards, PCAOB auditing standards, and SEC reporting requirements. Sophia has a strong track record of delivering high-quality audits and technical advisory services for both domestic and cross-border clients. Sophia’s professional approach is rooted in technical excellence, regulatory insight, and a commitment to strict compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.
