Neil Pinchuk is co-chairman of MarcumAsia, the premier PCAOB-registered accounting firm serving Asia-based, US publicly traded companies and a leading independent auditor for complex cross-border transactions.
Mr. Pinchuk is among the visionaries who first recognized the emerging demand for access to the dynamic U.S. capital markets as global IPOs gained traction in the 1980s. He and his childhood friend Drew Bernstein co-founded Bernstein Pinchuk LLP in New York City in 1990 with an eye on China, where the firm opened its first Asia office in Beijing in 1999, during height of the dot com boom. A decade later, the partners formed a joint venture with Marcum LLP, a top middle-market U.S. accounting firm, to help drive the firm’s expansion further into Asia as the era of “unicorns” took hold. Over the next 20 years, MarcumAsia became one of the leading middle-market accounting firms trusted by major underwriters, law firms, and investment banks active in the U.S.-Asia corridor, supporting hundreds of Asia-based IPOs and SPAC mergers on the NYSE and Nasdaq.
Today, with eight offices across China, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan and the joint venture concluded, Mr. Pinchuk and Mr. Bernstein are steering MarcumAsia into its next chapter of leadership. In 2025, they rebranded their U.S. firm as MBP Global LLP, connecting Asia’s growth markets with the regulatory, financial, and operational ecosystem of the United States in a unified cross-border service model.
Mr. Pinchuk is a technical expert in U.S. taxation of foreign companies and investors, multi-state taxation, and partnership and corporate taxation, and an authority in the formation of U.S. companies in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, and U.S. accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
In addition to leading technical training seminars, he has presented at accounting industry conferences and is a qualified expert witness for dispute resolution matters. He has served as a director and officer of the Joyce Kahn Foundation.
Mr. Pinchuk graduated with honors from the accelerated accounting program at the State University of New York at Albany and is licensed in the State of New York and other U.S. states.
